Story Plot

This story focuses on Candy Quackenbush, a young girl from Chickentown, Minnesota who is frustrated with her life. A chance meeting finds her with a man named John Mischief who takes her to the land of Abarat, where there exists an island that represents each hour of the day. As her adventures continue in this strange new world, Candy begins to realize that she has more connections to it than she ever could have imagined.
