Our world and the paranormal, irrational one are divided by The Membrane: a kind of invisible, intangible layer that keeps the paranormal from coming to our world. The Membrane feeds on sanity, so things such as collective hysteria, fear of the paranormal, and generalized panic can make it weaker. Some people, named Esoterrorists, purposefully try to weaken The Membrane and deal with the paranormal for their own gain. An organization named Ordo Veritatis fights those Esoterrorists and protects our world. Its agents investigate and fight against paranormal creatures and the people who brought them here. From a vengeful spirit in a high school to a disappearance in a small town, they have to be prepared to deal with everything. And they must know that, to every choice, there will be consequences.
