Description of Hermia:

Poor Hermia has fallen deeply in love with Lysander, but "the course of true love never did run smooth," and Demetrius, supported by her angry father, has relentlessly set out to win her heart. If she refuses to abide by her father's wishes, she faces either public execution or life in a convent; that is, until Lysander creates a third option. The happy couple elopes into the woods, trusting no one with their secret but Helena, Hermia's best friend.
