Fan Casting A Haunted House Is Not A Home

Julie Bardeen has had the same job for her whole life. She’s always been a ghosthunter. In a world overrun with spirits and phantoms, her role is necessary, even if Ghosthunters Incorporated squashes down her individuality and happiness. Julie, in her mid-to-late 40s, has accepted that some things like joy and love aren’t for her. So she does what she does best: keeps her head down and does her job. And eventually she’s assigned a relatively high-profile case. She is to move into a neglected town rumoured to have a mass haunting in an abandoned house. However, with limited instructions from Ghosthunters Inc, Julie accidentally moves into the haunted house. Whoops. Even though she’s supposed to be taking notes on how to exterminate them, Julie finds herself befriending the ghosts. They come from different time periods and different places across the globe, all drawn to this house because of an inexplicable well of ghostly energy. Most intriguing of all is X, a dark-haired mystery of a woman who sees Julie in a way she’s never been seen before.
