Lord Garrington, an elderly widower living alone in his very large mansion in the woods, invites eight people to dine at his house. During the meal, he tells them that he will donate five million dollars to whoever stays until the next day, which the guests accept. However, Garrington actually has other plans : to feed their souls to the ghost of his wife, Clarice, who has haunted the mansion for years !
