One of the oldest and largest creatures within the Forest, the Hollowed is a towering mass of living roots, twisted vines, rotting bark, and decaying flesh fused into a single monstrous body. It moves semi-quickly, but its immense reach allows it to strike from the ground itself, dragging victims beneath the roots before they have a chance to escape. Unlike predators that simply kill, the Hollowed harvests. Those it captures are slowly consumed by its living body, where the Forest strips away their memories, personalities, and humanity. Hours or minutes later, what emerges is no longer the person who disappeared. Every Hollowed One begins here, making the Hollowed less of an animal and more of a grotesque nursery for the Forest’s growing army. Can also transform people by thorns from vines which takes days-weeks to transform.
