The Hollowed Ones are the tragic remnants of people who were transformed by the Hollowed. Although they still resemble humans from a distance, their bodies are riddled with bark, roots, fungi, and creeping vines, leaving only fragments of the people they once were. They wander the Forest in silence, responding to the will of the Forest rather than their own. Occasionally, a faint memory or familiar face causes one to hesitate for only a moment, but the person they once were is gone. Neither fully alive nor truly dead, the Hollowed Ones exist as living servants of the Forest, spreading its corruption and reminding every survivor of the fate awaiting those who are taken.
