"Paris in the 20th Century" follows Michel Dufrénoy, a young poet living in a technologically advanced but culturally impoverished Paris of the 1960s. The society is dominated by industrial and scientific progress, with little regard for art and literature. Michel struggles to find his place in this technocratic world while maintaining his passion for poetry and developing feelings for Lucy, the daughter of his employer.
