Dr. Robotnik attacks Christmas Island 15 years ago. The island was mainly populated with hedgehogs, and a couple owls. There were two hedgehogs in specific named Jules and Aleena who hid their baby boy from Robotnik when he attacked. The owls kept a few of the other hedgehogs safe and evacuated most of them off of the island off of Robotnik's radar. But one of the owls raised one hedgehog in particular.. That hedgehog is Jules and Aleena's child Sonic. For 15 years, Sonic was the only hedgehog on Christmas Island.
