Cameron James falls in love with his new school, Padua High, into pretty Bianca Stratford, whose favorite pastime is talking to her friend about the philosophical aspects of her designer clothes. Bianca, however, is more interested in the handsome and intellectual low-flying Joey Donner. But she can not go out anytime her older sister Kat has a date anyway. The girl's father, a gynecologist, set this rule out of fear of his daughter's unwanted pregnancy. Kat is known at the school as a stubborn scratching brush, so her father assumes that she gets no date.
