Amazon streaming thriller series. Separate casting and production to the continuing modern day take of the Bond film releases. James Bond’s Cold War story, beginning in the 1950s era. Whilst allowing for a more nuanced thriller with more focus on procedure, this will portray the Fleming character of the original books, but ground him in a less gadget heavy world. Less fantastical elements than have been seen in the films. Here SPECTRE is more explicitly a KGB operational offshoot organisation, rather than the traditional murky criminal ‘big bad’ rogues gallery of previous depictions.
