I may be off the loop with this question, but what is with the Legion M banner I have been seeing on the front page since yesterday and would like to see an explanation about this collaboration if possible.

So would l please? We already got our response just a little over two weeks ago from robbywhite in another thread.
Legion M has partnered with our friends at @myCast.io to give our community a brand new way to be a part of the development process. “myCast” is an awesome site where film fans and TV lovers can recast their favorite stories with any actress/actor they would like-- or in our case, tell US who you think would be great for a role in one of the projects we're developing.
so far they got 5 projects going on to fan cast, when’s the sixth?
