Essentially, these are the main points of my email. I think if enough people, share these exact points in emails it could show how annoyed we all are and are willing to quit mycast if it doesn’t change.
* Introducing paywalls and AI monetization is seen as a major mistake, both personally and from a business perspective.
* The site’s appeal comes from serving a simple, niche interest (fancasting), which users expect to remain free and accessible.
* Charging for core features risks driving users away to free alternatives (like Reddit), even if those are less polished.
* The pricing model feels unreasonable given the site’s limited scope and misunderstands why users value it.
* A better approach would be to keep existing features free and only charge for new additions.
* Overall, the current strategy will alienate the existing user base and reduce traffic rather than grow it.
