Think about it. I know it may seem bizzare at first but think about it. Sit on it. Let it marinate... it actually works doesn't it! I don't know what made me think of Firth as Beast, I just had a feeling in my bones that he should be British. When I was thinking of middle aged British actors, Firth just popped straight out. Beast is the X-Men's librarian, the guy that the mansion would feel incomplete without. The middle aged guy that makes jokes that aren't actually funny, but he thinks they are. The most monstrous looking X-Man whose actually the most civilised and human. It's actually hard to top Kelsey Grammer, but Firth could.
