Rebecca Ferguson might actually be to big a name for my interpretation of Black Widow. She is not the female lead of the Avengers, instead she will be a hired villain in the Iron Man movie who eventually becomes the Maria Hill type advisor to Fury at S.H.I.E.L.D.. There is spin off potential however, so Ferguson would be a good choice for now. Whilst Scarlett Johansson is beloved as Black Widow, I never quite believed her as a tortured Russian born assassin. I can absolutely believe Ferguson as a tortured Russian assassin whom you're never sure which side she lands on. She pretty much plays the character I'm pitching in Mission: Impossible already.
