Fan Casting Kylo Ren in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

The leader of First Order and master of the Knights of Ren. He is a strong force sensitive, and nephew/student of Luke Skywalker. He was turned to the dark side by the powerful force sensitive Snoke, and killed all the other Jedi students. He's fanatic about Darth Vader and aspires to be greater than him. Yet internally he's conflicted about the path he chose. He has nothing against his parents, but is forced to kill Han due to fear of Snoke and aspiration to become greater than Vader. He's an angry mess, is full of confused rage.
