Maxwell "Max" James Robinson (born August, the 26th 1996), also known as Soundwave is Jake Thompson, Michael Green, Dennis Rodríguez and Liam Kagawa's best friend and one of the five main protagonists of the Chargeshock Thompson & the Justice Avengers series created by Man of Action. Physical appearance Max is a young man of average height with ginger hair, green eyes and freckles. He wears a yellow shirt underneath a purple jacket. As Soundwave he has a color coded green outfit with the Justice Avengers logo crest. Personality Max is the comedian and resident class clown of the group, as he is described as enthusiastic, light-hearted and upbeat, but childish, prone to being silly and a bit absent-minded. He is labeled as "The Funny One" in Jake's group, as he is the most "fun" out of all his friends. He is social, outgoing and always wants to make new friends. He's also confirmed to have ADHD, which can overall cause him to be hyperactive, impulsive, reckless and very excitable. Max is always openly playful, energetic affectionate and has an honest heart and would accept outsiders and stick up for the underdog. He is also shown to be very adorable, cute and innocent. However, he is not without a sneaky and mischievious side, as he tends to play pranks on his friends, especially on Dennis. He also uses a lot of skater lingo, as he likes to use the word "dude" a lot. As Soundwave, he keeps his whole personality intact and becomes the comic relief of the Justice Avengers. He is usually the first to break in with a preposterous suggestion or an unnecessary joke when the other Justice Avengers are focused on important details. Due to this, Hawkman sometimes views him as immature, thickheaded, and cumbersome, while Chargeshock often scolds him for his lack of focus. However, he continually proves invaluable with his supersonic scream and battle prowess. While he's not very bright or book-smart and might seem unintelligent due to him not thinking things through, he is actually incredibly smart in his own way and can surprise others with his ideas, his intuition and his creative solutions. Although he jokes most of the time, Soundwave can be stubborn, serious and lose track of his rational side when his loved ones are hurt or in danger, similar to Chargeshock. One of Max's biggest strengths is his kindness, as he was shown adopting a homeless and helpless dog and taking good care of him. However, his kindness can also cause him to be naive most of the time, as he thought he and Deadpool were friends, even introducing him to his puppy, not knowing that Deadpool stole the list that contained the other heroes' secret identities and isn't who he seemed to be. Despite his jovial and happy-go-lucky exterior, Max has coulrophobia, the fear of clowns. He also has a love for food and can be paranoid about paranormal activity and was cowardly at first due to his fear of monsters. However, he is still brave when it counts and was able to face his fear. Powers and Abilities Powers Sound Manipulation: Soundwave's body is entirely composed of sound waves and as such he can manipulate sound to a certain extent. Sonic Scream: Soundwave can unleash a sonic scream to disorient his opponents. These screams can be so powerful that they indirectly caused an aquarium with reinforced glass to shatter. Echolocation: By manipulating his sonic screams, Soundwave can use echolocation as shown when he used it to find a teleporter pad. Force-Field Generation: Soundwave can manipulate his sonic screams to create force fields. Superhuman Speed: Soundwave was able to outrun an Electro-Minion while carrying a device that was essential. Superhuman Agility: Soundwave was easily able to dodge the Icicle Androids' attempts to tale him down. Enhanced Reflexes: Michelangelo possesses great reaction speed, allowing him to dodge projectiles such as laser from the Icicle Androids' blasters, and enemy attacks. Soundwave, along with his teammates quickly dodge the laser gunfire at close-range. Abilities Mechanical skills: Max has an eye for machines and gadgets, being in charge of repairing and maintaining the various technology at the Justice Avengers' disposal. He was responsible for restoring his vehicle to a functional state and equipping it with the modifications needed to make it fly. Over time, his inventing side was less emphasized, due to Jake, Liam, Luke, Linda and even Marinette taking up the role of inventors, but Max's skill with technology should not be underestimated. Cooking Skills: He shows to love cooking for his family and friends. It is revealed that he and Sally are usually the one who makes breakfast since the others are a real hazard in the kitchen when they have to do so. While Dennis, Liam, Sally, Luke and Kyle have mixed feelings about his cooking, Jake, Michael, Darwin, Danny and Stephanie seem to love his cooking skills. Max DOES know what the others like and how to give that to them. Creativity: Max has to be quite creative both in and out of combat. This mostly when he comes up with the names for most of the villains or allies. He also experiments with lots of ingredients in the kitchen while he's cooking. Teasing: As a grand prankster, Max is great at teasing his opponents. While others may not see this as a skill, his teasing has shown to be skilled enough to make his opponents lose control of themselves and attack senselessly, making their attacks become sloppy and ineffective, which makes it easier for him to take them down. DJ-ing: Max is a skilled DJ, competing with his abilities and making it to the second round of the Talent Show. Trivia Max is an animal lover. His favorite animals being dogs. Max believes in ghosts, aliens, monsters and other paranormal and inhuman things. He is often compared to Beast Boy, the 2012 version of Michelangelo and Shaggy Rogers due to the similarities he shares with them. Like Liam, Max has never had detention in his life.
