Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ Sonikku za Hejjihoggu) is the main protagonist of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie. He is an anthropomorphic, blue hedgehog endowed with super speed who constantly fights the forces of Dr. Robotnik. Together with his best friend Miles "Tails" Prower, Sonic has made it his sworn duty to protect Planet Freedom, the Land of the Sky, and South Island from the evil doctor's machinations.
