With the rise of new technology, a young man is able to recover repressed memories from his childhood and adolescence with a singular device known as Seeker. When discovering these various terrifying and traumatic memories, he is sent into a spiral of hysteria and shock.

    in short, what happens is that basically he has a lot of repressed memories he wants to uncover thinking they aren't too bad but in reality. they are that bad and it's the whole reason his brain blocked them out in the first place. they start to make him question things about his parents and who he is and if he has the violent tendencies his mother had that very day. he starts getting angry at his girlfriend (samara weaving) who ends up getting worried and concerned for his well-being because of that device. she goes to her friend who's an employee (tyler james williams) and asks him for help. they both

    confront him and he tries to physically harm himself, which ends up in them taking him to a doctor but it's too late and he dies from blood loss. when dying, he is greeted by a god (jung ho-yeon) who goes all like "technology has become evil now, it's sad the reason you were taken was because of a piece of tech. come with me" and basically he is led to the afterlife and that's where his story ends. in the living world, ada and nori are grieving and well.. sad. that it was too late, when escorted out, the two employees (britt lower and matt bomer) talk about how tragic this event was. "this is our second patient who died from that seeker thing, right?" the doctor corrects her. "fifth."
