Synopsis

The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins is a dystopian series set in the fictional nation of Panem, where a powerful Capitol controls 12 oppressed districts. Each year, the Capitol forces each district to send one boy and one girl, called “tributes,” to fight to the death in a televised event known as the Hunger Games.

Being an eccentric Capitol citizen, Effie has a unique and flamboyant interest in fashion, and is constantly seen throughout the series wearing colorful stylized outfits and wigs. She is regarded as a fashion icon among the people of the Capitol, proceeding Katniss Everdeen's successful appearance in the 74th Hunger Games, and eventual victory.
