Gordon is a LNER A1 4-6-2 Pacific locomotive, who is the North Western Railway’s Premier Express Engine. Gordon takes great pride in pulling the express, but hates it when he pulls dirty wagons. Gordon's important position as the engine who pulls the Express had made him proud, pompous, arrogant, stubborn, prideful, and self-important at first. But has gotten much nicer and slightly more mature now, while still remaining quite prideful and pompous.
