Prof. Ludwig Von Drake is a fictional character created in 1961 by Bill Berg for the Walt Disney Company. Von Drake is an elderly Austrian anthropomorphic Pekin duck with a yellow-orange bill, legs, and feet. He wears a beige overcoat over a red vest, a cream long-sleeved button-up shirt, black necktie (other times a bow tie), and a pair of pince-nez glasses in line with his scholar motif.
Von Drake is an eccentric lecturer, scientist, psychiatrist, inventor, and self-proclaimed genius, who frequently displays his vast array of "expert" knowledge on a variety of subjects to the point of absentmindedness sometimes. He is the paternal uncle of Donald Duck and his twin sister Della, and the maternal granduncle of Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
Von Drake has been occasionally shown to psychoanalyze Donald based on his nephew's infamous temper tantrums to the point of attempting to help Donald ease his nerves and other negative feelings via therapy with his own wacky inventions, which sometimes only annoys Donald even further, but later ends up a victim of his inventions backfiring on him in a comedic way that cheers Donald up and amuses him at his uncle's expense.
