Following the events of the civil war between the Justice League and Teen Titans, Bruce Wayne, better known as Batman, finds himself training yet another individual that has become a member of the Batfamily. That being a young girl by the name of Harper Row, who has taken on the moniker of ''the Bluebird''. However, whilst training young Harper, Bruce learns that Jerome Valeska, the fourth Joker, survived the collapse of a long-abandoned fuel station during the events of Mask of The Phantasm, and now aims to turn Gotham into a city of madness. In the mid-credits scene for the film, after Bruce and Harper get back to Wayne Manor, we see the currently pregnant Selina Kyle handing her husband a newspaper saying, ''Looks like we know where the twin is now.'' referring to Jerome Valeska's twin brother, Jeremiah, who went missing months earlier. Upon reading the newspaper, Bruce learns about the recent appearance of a young man about Jerome's age wearing a fedora and trenchcoat that has been suspected of being an arsonist in Gotham City. After finishing the paper, Bruce places his face in his hand, hoping that there won't be another Joker to haunt his nightmares...
