For much of the movie, the identity of this new Dark Knight, otherwise known as the Batwoman, remains a mystery, hence the title. But eventually, Bruce and Thomas, Jr. both figure it out with some clues left behind by her beatings and killings of other criminals and discover this caped crusader to be their cousin, Katherine Kane, whom Bruce hadn't seen in years after his uncle Adam had turned to a life of crime and the Kane family was in shambles. And so, the two track the Batwoman down to her secret base in an abandoned alleyway and take her to the Batcave, where Bruce begins to train her to become a better version of her current self.
