Description of 3rd Hunger Games [Aspen Beech, District 7]:

The first outlier District victory, Aspen fought with an axe in the 3rd Hunger Games and was responsible for the death of the girl from District 5, in self defense and the boy from District 2 in the finale. He went onto mentor two more victors from District 7 in the decades after his own, joined the underground rebellion and was the longest lived victor, dying age 87 shortly before the Victory Tour of the 73rd Hunger Games. His closest friends among the other victors were his fellow District 7 victors, Stanley Kerilii, Prairie Vade, Beetee Latier and Damson Ganges. Ethnicity; Japanese American.
