Description of 12th Hunger Games [Alden Barton, District 2]:

Taking place in the 2nd natural arena, the 12th Hunger Games began the trend of shifting arenas each year. This year set in a smalltown mall in the style of 1980s America, they were dominated by a powerful alliance; both tributes from District 2 with the boys from Districts 4 and 7. Alden Barton was a formidable fighter with a warhammer responsible for 5 deaths but suffered from guilt after his time in these Games. He later committed suicide with a stolen gun at the age of 40 the year of the 35th Hunger Games.
