Okay, now this is something new. I found this in the upper corner when i was editing one of my stories. Can anyone explain about this new feature? I still don't quite understand how it works.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that myself. I wonder if it's something like, "if there's an existing story with the same name, you can check this box and any contributions will be synced there?" But that's just a rough guess.

I tried using the contact form to ask about it but got radio silence so I'm gonna try and ask about it using the email they mentioned in the recent TOS update (help@mycast.io) and see if that gets any results. I know they've been doing some behind the scenes updates to prepare from the upcoming site revamp just by accidentally catching them on-site...

Asked Robby White about this and this is what he had to say:

"We are building out official myCast stories. When you create a story you will have the ability to say add it to the official myCast story. Anytime you get votes or anything else for your character / roles it goes towards the official count on the official myCast story.

Your story is still yours, and it really only applies to main stream movies that are already produced or in production."
