I'm thinking about deleting my account for a new one due to viruses & glitches suddenly popping up on my stories.

What happens if I decide to delete it? My stories remain?

Viruses and glitches are either malware or bad ads and have nothing to do with your particular account unless you mean through comments. I'd do an antivirus scan and see if you're getting bad ads, escalating to a blocker if necessary.
