Rick Moranis Returning For Honey, I Shrunk The Kids Reboot

Hold out hope for Spaceballs 2.

It has been 23 years since Rick Moranis retired from movies to take care of his children and it looked like we had seen the last of the comedy legend. Moviegoers got the good news that he will be returning to star in a reboot of Disney's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids franchise titled Shrunk.

Josh Gad will play the son of Moranis' Wayne Szanlinski in the movie and yes, he will continue his fathers work of shrinking things. Moranis played Szalinski in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Honey, I Blew Up the Kid and Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves. Joe Johnston, director of the original, will direct Shrunk. 

Shrunk has not been given a release date yet, but right now we can be excited knowing that Rick Moranis is coming back.
