Wookiee

A Wookiee is a fictional alien race from the Star Wars franchise, best known for being a species of tall, hairy and arboreal humanoid mammals that were native to the planet Kashyyyk and were known as "the People of the Trees" in their native language of Shyriiwook. Wookiees live in treehouses nestled in the canopy of towering wroshyr trees and are quite strong. Despite their fearsome appearances, they are usually gentle, but were prone to devastating fits of rage when provoked, one of which was where they were known to rip people's arms out of their sockets when done so. Though being from a temperate planet known for its swamps and forests, they were perfectly comfortable on icy planets like Ilum and Hoth, not requiring any additional protective clothing to keep them warm thanks to their hair. The most notable members of the Wookiee species was the warrior Chewbacca (aka Chewie), Han Solo's best friend co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon, who played a vital role in the Clone Wars during the Battle of Kashyyyk, along with the Galactic Civil War by aiding the Rebel Alliance in their fight against the Galactic Empire; Tarfful, a friend of Chewbacca's that was Chieftain of Kachirho and General who fought in the Battle of Kashyyyk during the Clone Wars; and Tyvokka, a Jedi Master who served the Galactic Republic during the Republic Classic era who was renowned for his ability to "sense the future" and was master of the Kel Dor Jedi Master Plo Koon.
