The New Norm is a 2024 political art horror series created by Akiva and Sophia Prell, and developed by José Behar. The series focuses on Norm, a right-wing trophy shop worker in the time of woke America. He kidnaps 18 teenagers and subjects them to four months of extreme violence, sadism, genital torture and psychological torture. The series explores themes of political corruption, consumerism, authoritarianism, nihilism, morality, capitalism, totalitarianism, sadism, sexuality, and fascism. The confluence of thematic content in the series— ranging from the political and socio-historical, to psychological and —has led to much critical discussion.
