OCP DEK/GE 31 is a femur, tibia and fibula of a small titanosaur from the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. This animal lived with Chenanisaurus, Ajnabia, selachians, actinopterygians, turtles, Mosasauridae and plesiosaurs. This suggests a marine depositional environment, which further suggests OCP DEK/GE 31 originated from a buoyant carcass. On the femur, a prominent lateral protrusion at the proximal 1/3, which is a diagnostic characteristic of Titanosauriformes. However, OCP DEK/GE 31 lacks the synapomorphies associated with Titanosauria and less-inclusive clades. Thus, OCP DEK/GE 31 is a basal titanosauriform, now classed as Titanosauriformes indet., which makes it the first sauropod of Maastrichtian Morocco and one of the few Uppermost Cretaceous dinosaur taxa from North Africa. This confirms how widespread Titanosauriformes were during the Late Cretaceous and gives them an occurrence in Late Maastrichtian Africa.
