25 year old Samantha was born, raised and is still living with her parents in a small mining town south of Merthyr Tydfil in the South Wales Valleys. Samantha first found her voice in primary school where her then music teacher Miss Pugh suggested to her parents that they should invest in singing lessons, she was just 8 years old. Sam was lucky enough to find Andrea Callanan, an industry professional vocal coach and performer herself, Andi mentored Sam in all aspects of singing and performing and really helped her find her voice, build her confidence and mould her into the young woman she is today. Sam’s love of performing led to her opting to attend Cyfarthfa High School in Merthyr, which was renowned for its theatrical productions. On her very first visit to the school, the deputy head Mrs Lewis informed Sam that the next school production would be The Wizard of Oz, Sam informed Mrs Lewis that She would be Dorothy, Mrs Lewis tried politely to temper Sam’s enthusiasm but two years later Sam did indeed step on stage as Dorothy. After several years of singing lessons it was time for Sam to really start performing and after a successful term at Theatrics Stage School in Radyr, Cardiff, Sam joined the Mark Jermin Stage School and hasn’t looked back since. Her first performance was of a showcase production called Let Loose. Here Sam performed a few numbers that climaxed in her singing Good Morning Baltimore, this performance marked her arrival in the Stage School, and ensured she would be included in bigger and better things in the future. Sam has since appeared numerous times on your TV screens on shows including Casualty, Dr Who and Sky 1’s Stella. 2013 marked a huge year for Sam which saw her perform on stage at Ponty’s Big Weekend, film her first mainstream commercial for the Irish Government and saw her end the year in Pantomine playing the Fairy Godmother as cover for the star of the show Becky Craven (Rhiannon Salt in BBC’s Waterloo Road) while Becky completed filming of the next series. 2014 Saw Sam accepted to study at the prestigious Mountview Acadamy of Theatre Arts in London where she completed a Foundation in Musical Theatre. 2016 saw Sam take on a 3 month run in the Role of Genie in Bluestone's Production of Aladdin. Sam's most recent credit was playing Seren in the Channel 4 Drama - The Accident - starring Sarah Lancashire where sam played the role of Seren. Following a couple of years out of the limelight and pursuing her hobby and passion for cosplay Sam has continued her theatre education at the Emil Dale Acadamy where she is studying for a BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre. Whilst studying at Emil Dale Academy Sam was approached to teach at the Stegecoach Performing Arts Hertford and Ware. A new challenge she is thoroughly enjoying.
