Ryan grew up in rural Alberta and started writing and recording music when he was 16 with a 4-track tape recorder. His first brush with scoring was writing music for the Big Rock Eddies, an annual short film contest for an Alberta brewery. A few years later he found his way to Toronto and enrolled in music producing and recording engineering at the Harris Institute. Since 2006 he has been composing music for TV, commercials, video games and short films. Ryan is always interested in new projects that will challenge and inspire him.
