Rikuo

Rikuo, or Aulbath (オルバス Orubasu) in Japan, is a character in the Darkstalkers franchise of video games, debuting in Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors as one of the original playable characters in the series. Rikuo is a merman based off the titular creature in the 1954 film Creature from the Black Lagoon. He is the emperor of the Water Folk people, residing within an underwater empire deep in the Amazon. Rikuo's goals primarily revolve around the safety of his people and his family, having a wife and several children. He has made several cameo appearances in various other video games and media, as well as featuring in his own mobile phone game. Rikuo is one of the characters that had their name originally created by Capcom USA, but was changed in Japan as a result of Capcom Japan feeling that the name would be seen as strange to the audience[2]. When referring to the original name, some Japanese websites render it as リクオ (Rikuo) in the language[3].
