Rat Hole (Look Outside)

The Rat Hole is a creature found in a hidden room to the right of the pit passage on floor one. The Rat Hole explains that he was once human before being bitten by the Rat King, when he began transforming into a rat creature like the others found on floor one. However, he was then bitten again several more times, and these additional points of infection caused his mutation to go horribly awry. He attempts to explain what happened during his horrific transformation, but most of the text is censored, leaving the imagination to fill the gaps. Rat Hole's dark ramblings suggest that it has become an immortal and infinitely expanding creature that is constantly devouring itself. Rat Hole also warns Sam of its less friendly "other half" in Room 13, suggesting that The Mouth in the wall there is also a part of the Rat Hole's body. He will offer Sam a Juice Box if the grisly description made him woozy. Rat Hole requests Sam bring him Rat Tails, dropped by rat enemies, for trade, as he needs them for what could be termed complicated medical reasons. He offers a Filth Bomb (1 tail), Rat Tail Whip (2 tails), Rat Tail Belt (3 tails), Giant Rat Skull (4 tails), and Filthy Ring (6 tails).
