David Madison Cawthorn (born August 1, 1995) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, Cawthorn is the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 11th congressional district after winning the 2020 election. The district includes most of Western North Carolina. He is the youngest member of Congress since Jed Johnson Jr., the first born in the 1990s, and the first member of Generation Z elected into Congress.
