Three issues of Showcase (issues 62, 63, and 65), as well as twelve issues (the final two being reprints) of the Inferior Five in their own series. The children of the Freedom Brigade, who are pastiches of the Justice Society of America, form the Inferior Five, consisting of Merry Man, Dumb Bunny, Awkwardman, the Blimp, and White Feather. Their first villain was Doctor Gruesome. Many of their allies and enemies are parodies of characters owned by other publishers. All issues were written by E. Nelson Bridwell while issues 62 and 63 were written by Joe Orlando, issue 65 of Showcase and the first six issues of their series were penciled by Mike Sekowsky, and issues 7-10 were penciled by Win Mortimer.
