First appeared in Marvel Premiere #15 in 1974 and was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. Harold Meachum was the co-founder of Rand Corporation along with his best friend Wendell Rand. During a trip to the city of K'un-Lun, Harold killed Wendell and professed his love for his former friend's wife Heather, who was killed when she and her son Danny ran away from him. Years later, he was reunited with Danny after the latter became the Iron Fist. In the live-action series Iron Fist, he is the main antagonist of its first season and a collaborator of the Hand.
