Gali, better known as Galacta, is the "daughter" of Galactus. She began as a parasitic entity, similar to a tapeworm, that had spontaneously generated within Galactus and grew to be a cosmic being that was similar to him. However, Galacta avoids consuming worlds and instead consumes the non-native organisms on Earth, protecting the planet's native lifeforms from alien invaders while disguising herself as a human teenager. Eventually, she unknowingly develops a "tapeworm" of her own.[2]
