Brum is a sweet & happy little yellow motorcar who loves making friends & hates to see anyone unhappy. He is outgoing & personable. He feels things deeply & has a strong sense of empathy. He doesn't always pick up on complex ideas & sometimes gets confused or frightened easily. He always stands up for his friends, showing his true bravery when someone else is in need. Brum is based on a late-1920s Austin 7 "Chummy", a once-popular British motorcar. In the show, he helps to save the day by chasing after criminals stealing stuff or things like stopping a dog from getting away or recapturing runaway objects. Then it's time for Brum to return to & sneak back into the museum, past his owner, before anyone notices that he's missing. Then he goes to sleep until the next day. Brum is able to drive around on his own & can express himself in a number of ways including opening & closing his doors & bonnet, "bobbing" his suspension, flashing & swivelling his headlamps, rotating his starting crank, extending his trafficators, & using his horn. He opens his doors when he's happy & flaps his bonnet up when he's angry. Each episode of Brum begins with him waking up at the museum, then sneaking out to explore the Big Town. At the end of each episode, he sneaks back into the Museum & goes to sleep. (In Series 1-2 his owner usually finds something in his interior that Brum picked up during the episode). The opening & closing sequences were filmed at the Cotswold Motoring Museum in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, South West England. One of the models of Brum used in the filming of Series 1 is kept on display there when not in use. in the end he gets a gold cup as a reward for his owner == Audio Files ==The adventures of Brum are indeed delightful, and it’s heartwarming to hear how each episode concludes with him returning to the museum, often with a little souvenir from his explorations. The Cotswold Motoring Museum sounds like a wonderful place to visit, especially for fans of the show, to see one of the original Brum models. As for the gold cup, it’s a charming touch that symbolizes the appreciation for Brum’s curiosity and bravery. It’s these little rewards and discoveries that make Brum’s journeys through Big Town so memorable for viewers In the first 2 series, Brum's horn was believed to be made with the same synth used for the music, while in the last 3 series, Brum's horn was a stock sound effect.
