Billy Campbell

Billy Joseph Campbell is a main character from the television sitcom A New Kind of Family (1977 - 1987). He is portrayed by Nolan Splavec. Billy is a 4-year old kid from the city of Joplin, Missouri and a student at Joplin Elementary School. He is portrayed as a stereotypical young child. The characteristics which make him different from the other children. Billy has a brother named Jake and a sister named Sarah, and he has a father named David. Billy's mother Rose died in a car accident when he was 2 years old. Billy is shown to be a nice, kind, innocent, nerdy, and studious kid who loves school, especially science and math. However, sometimes he can be really annoying, such as when he tries to talk to girls at school like his crush, Cindy, or when he wants everyone to come over for dinner but they don't want to because it takes hours. Billy is really shown to be manipulative, ungrateful, selfish, and rude towards parents. He also likes to tell lies about people. Billy's brother Jake, calls him a little brat sometimes because he is so mean to their dad and tells lies all the time. In some episodes, people call him a "little jerk" or say that he is very "annoying". Billy is also shown to be scared of many things, including ghosts, monsters, bugs, and storms.
