This costume was built initially to replace the Barney suit used at Butlins Minehead and was used for the first year of Mattel Play! Town Dubai. The design more closely resembled the costume used in the television series. Barney's arms are separated from the costume (similar to the early years of costume design). This costume is also used for appearances in West Africa and in the Middle East. NOTE: In Barney Live! World Tour - A Celebration!, the costume is similar to the costume pictured. The head, snout, and jaw are smaller, and the mouth is immovable. Barney's tail is notably thicker, his toes are connected, and one eye is larger than the other.
