Nì'awtu (Tob Blyth) a young Na'vi child of two worlds, born as a Na’vi but raised by the RDA he and his rebellious and jaded older sister Aha'ri (Jessica Rothe) along with his friends were trained as a soldier for hire by the RDA and after being in a residential school for Na'vi children called The Ambassador Program but the siblings have always dreamt of building a better world but there's just one problem: they're not allowed to leave the campus for some dumb reason because their dean John Mercer (Aidan Gillen), the director of the TAP program refuses to tell them the truth about them origins of their roots and where they really came from. But just when they were about to lose all hope until one day their kind teacher Alma Cortez (Lupita Nyong'o) decides to put all of the students into cryosleep until they can escape, after waking up fifteen years later, the students now find themselves in the wreckage of their now abandoned school, and after a strong Na'vi warrior Sol'ek (Aldis Hodge) informs them that they were all once members of a mighty clan called the Sarentu who he thought that they were gone for years but after he managed to escape into the outside world for the first time ever but only to quickly discover that Mercer was still up to his old tricks. With the aid from the Resistance and the help of other Na'vi clans, Nì'awtu now sets out on a journey to the far regions to unravel the mystery of his people's past and to decide who he was designed to be.
