Athan Sporek was born on August 5, 2007 in Brooklyn, New York. Recently appeared in the title role of New York City Ballet's production of the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center, he is also known for playing the recurring role of Sam in The Dangerous Book for Boys (2018) as well as appearances on The Knick (2014), and Odd Mom Out (2015). At the age of 7, Athan made Broadway history starring as the youngest Gavroche ever in Les Miserables. He went on to play the leading role of Fritz in New York City Ballet's The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center. He also originated the role of Young Calogero in A Bronx Tale on Broadway. Athan's extensive voice-over credits include Super Wings as well as Nickelodeon's Welcome to the Wayne and Butterbean's Cafe. At the age of 10, Athan was one of the youngest soloist to sing the National Anthem at the sold-out Madison Square Garden for the 2017 Big East Basketball Tournament final game.
