When a former student at a school for mutants seeks refuge after an attack by a mutant hate group, she discovers the creation of a covert team of mutants who'll be tasked with defending the world. She joins the team and as they uncover a conspiracy involving the destruction of mutantkind, a threat rises from the shadows.
