Fan Casting Total Recall (2010s decade)

Douglas Quail, a downtrodden office clerk with a wilting marriage on the cracks, visits a medical facility which promises to implant fake memories about visiting Mars in his head. However, the procedure goes horribly wrong and Quail becomes a hunted man upon recovering his former memories as a secret agent with fatal information in mind. The fate of the world hangs in balance as Quail's grip on fantasy and reality starts to fade, leading him to question if his actions will matter in the end once all is revealed...or not.
