In "Thor," directed by Kenneth Branagh, the powerful but arrogant Norse god Thor is banished from the realm of Asgard to Earth by his father, Odin, after reigniting an ancient war with the Frost Giants. Stripped of his powers and separated from his enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, Thor must learn humility and earn his worthiness to wield his weapon once more. On Earth, he forms an unlikely alliance with astrophysicist Jane Foster and her team, while his mischievous brother Loki schemes for power in Asgard. As Thor confronts his own flaws and responsibilities, he must protect both realms from the threat of destruction and redemption, ultimately learning what it means to be a true hero and worthy of the title of the God of Thunder.
