A nightclub singer (Layla Pullman) hires Private Investigator Leigh Stacy to investigate the murder of her best friend. After discovering the COD to be a drug overdose, he discovers that the case is tied to the recent corruption cases he has been trying to crack alongside LAPD Detective Jack Aarons. Despite their mutually bitter experiences of fighting in the war, they put aside their differences to try and crack it.
