Two Italian-American plumbers and twin brothers are struggling to keep their small plumbing business in New Donk City running following a personal breakup between one of the brother’s girlfriends. However, a slip up in the sewer involving some invading monsters lands the two brothers on the other side of the world in the Mushroom Kingdom, where they are caught up in a war between the Toads and the Koopas, whose evil ruler has kindapped the kingdom’s princess.
